Of the over 65,000 baseball lessons I have given over the years, I know there is some percentage of lessons that did not work. I don't believe that was because of what I was teaching. it had to do with little-known factors of coaching hitting that took me years and many lessons to comprehend.

Positive Coaching - The Choice should be A No-Brainer

Positive coaches learn to say things with compassion, knowing sports success is difficult to come by and with empathy, so players understand they are not, "How they do" on a sports field. Players of positive coaches keep trying no matter what and keep playing because fun occurs no matter their statistics. Negative coaches never learn to say things in those ways, leading to athletes who quit playing at younger ages than necessary. Why some adults choose the negative is beyond comprehension.

Show Me a Kid Who Doesn't Like This Let's face it, there are times when baseball practice becomes a little slow, especially with inexperienced youth baseball coaches at the helm. When things seem to be dragging a little at practice, it is always good to have that "Go To" plan, which picks up every ones spirits. One of the go to plans I use is the hitting game. I have never observed many kids who did not like playing this hitting game, as long as it is run correctly.
