Fielding Ground Balls Not Major League Fields

Major league players play on immaculately manicured baseball fields. When they do not line ground balls up correctly, they usually get away with it, not to mention they have extra ordinary hand eye coordination with great glove work. It goes without saying, youth baseball fields are not nearly as smooth, or well taken care of as the big league diamonds are.

Should intentional walks be a part of youth baseball? The quick answer is no, however, pitchers should use their heads, when trying to win baseball games, even at the lower levels of ball. Coaches make the call as to whether a batter should be walked intentionally, but pitchers still must think and plan their way around the lineup, too.

Hall of Famer, Mike Schmidt just came out with an article on postseason hitting and the state of hitting in general. Mike Schmidt knows hitting and I feel it validates much of what I teach, but will anything change.
