Little is worse than having to work with tired and hungry players. They have trouble focusing and their irritability may become a problem. That's not the players' fault, it is the parents. Many over schedule their child, running from event to event, with no time in between to eat or rest. Coaches must occasionally remind parents when future games and practices are, as well as asking parents to be careful of over scheduling kids on those days.
After playing major league baseball, Jack Perconte has taught baseball and softball since 1988 and offered valuable coaching training too.
