The 15u Rebels are managed by Coach Chris Pemberton who brings 20+ years of high school varsity head coaching experience. He has managed varsity level programs at Bartlett High, Larkin, and Prospect High.
At the 15u level, the nature of travel baseball changes. Players have their sites set on high school teams and have the drive to continue their rise in advanced level baseball.
The 15u team will serve as a training program and tournament team that will help players refine their skills in the fall and winter in preparation for high school baseball. This training will include weekly practices, possible fall tournaments, and a commitment to utilize private instructors in order to build a player's skill set so that they can make an impression on their high school coaches. From late February until mid-May, there will be a hiatus from our team allowing players to compete with their respective schools.
The season will commence later in May and involve playing weekend tournaments into July. The team will look to use the skills that players acquired from a high school season allowing them to continue their improvement and work towards their goal of becoming varsity athletes.
All players will be evaluated on their tryout performance and what they can offer in terms of their position to the team.
